My dad and I decided to go to the restaurant just next to our hotel after a day out in Pompeii as we were quite tired. We were the first people in, and were only joined by a family of four an hour later, so had the undivided attention of the hostess who was absolutely lovely and welcoming. We decided to go for the 4 course taster menu and were not disappointed. The oregano ice cream with the monkfish was something I wouldn’t have ever dreamed off and it was to die for. The tagliatelle with anchovy sauce was perhaps the best pasta dish I have ever had until it was just surpassed by the pork/beef pasta dish that followed. We were then provided a wide array of desserts (basil sorbet, tiramisu, mini cheesecake, candied orange peels, cream tart, and chocolate macarons) which were each as good as the next, nothing too sweet or overbearing to take away from the previous courses, and light enough to just fill the last few gaps to push us to being full. This was a wholly unexpected but delightful find and evening and would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Pompeii for an evening meal.
