It's only small with a couple of tables inside and 4 outside and largely a take away, but judging by the trade it's very popular with the locals. They have approx 6 different flavours of pizzas which they sell in squares or slices all freshly made which you queue for and then take outside to eat (in our case anyway as it was very hot October weather). We had a slice of a meat one with mushrooms and a ham and cheese focaccia square total €2.70 for 2 generous portions. Both were so amazingly tasty that they didn't touch the side and we were soon back for a repeat order. How refreshing to get served decent home made pizza slices at such a good value price. The same thing in Pisa or Florence would probably set you back in excess of €10 and probably wouldn't have been half so nice!
On a day trip to Pontedera we called into Umbra. Very polite helpful service to a couple of Kiwi's who have limited italian. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the Sunday afternoon enjoying good slices of pizza. I loved my Margherita my wife's stuffed ham chesse was great. Both excellent value for money, easy to recommend.
Good for me and recommended. Strange but pleasant and good pizza
Buona pizza al taglio nel centro di Pontedera a prezzi ragionevoli. Possibilità di sedersi fuori. Non c'è servizio ai tavoli.
Compared to a time, unfortunately everything has gotten worse. However, for a quick pizza triangle it's fine
