Fantastic links course. Demanding but fair, just don’t venture any further than the semi rough. We stayed in the Dormy House and after a great Welsh Breakfast, enjoyed a Sunday morning tee time and some very generous weather. It was late October and the perfect conditions coincided with Wales v France, so the course was maybe a little quieter than usual. We had great service from the team in the clubhouse and from the pro shop and used the excellent practice facilities before going out. The course itself was in great condition, greens were true although a bit slow for our liking. In fairness probably the length they need to be to maintain year round condition. Great views from every hole and lots of wildlife even the Peregrine Falcon has a good grasp of etiquette, kindly dragging its kill off the green as we approached! A premium experience, will definitely be coming back here.
Rest Bay beach, a beautiful place where the sands meet the rocks. The children can have a safe swim in the pools created by the tide and you can also pick a perfectly shaped rock, to paint at home :
An absolutely amazing place. It has to be one of the best courses in the UK. A tough test of golf in the wind but the course was in superb condition. The professional and bar staff were very friendly as well.
The course was played as part of the Sean Coyle tour, and it was absolutely stunning! The clubhouse is steeped in history and the service was very friendly. The pro shop is well-stocked, and the staff has a great sense of humor. You definitely need to play this course more than once if you want a chance at a good score. I personally achieved 34 points off a handicap of 19, which is one of my best performances under the WHS, and it lowered my index to 17.0.
