Casa do Rio Restaurante - Alvor

We came here for lunch after a long walk around the estuary and enjoyed a very relaxed long lunch.... well cooked food and lovely wine. Friendly waitor provided great service. And an amazing view to top it all off! Fab!

A beautiful view overlooking the sea setting the scene for a gasrtronomic treat of pure excellence. The staff struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us our own space. Deborah was mad for the homemade sardine starter with a twist and my lamb cutlet main with salted potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and carrots was perfectly cooked. A fantastic contrast to our meal the previous night at Gastropub 13 (please refer to my previous review). I recommend that G 13's management team goes to Casado do Rio to witness good food combined with good food and efficient but unatrusive management which was reflected in the high level of service provided. The fish and steak meals are a must if that is your preference, but their menu caters for most tastes, plus the portions are generous, the food is served hot, all at once and over the 5 years we have been going to this excellent restaurant an order has never been declined on the basis they have run out.

Un ami m'a beaucoup parlé de casa do Rio. Pour l'anniversaire de ma femme, j'avais fait une demande de réservation par email indiquant que c'était l'anniversaire de ma femme. A notre arrivée, nous avons été pris en charge par un très gentil serveur qui parle français. il avait réservé une table avec une vue sur un ouf sur la mer. Nous avons mangé du bar, qui était très bon. pour le dessert et sans aucune demande spéciale (ma femme à, il a apporté le dessert de ma femme avec une bougie et chanter un joyeux anniversaire... c'est à savoir comment faire ! un accueil est en haut ! , la nourriture est excellente !! la vue est un vrai paradis !

It has a wonderful location over the water from its spacious terrace. beautiful to see many locals there for Sunday dinner and see why. the service is so good and friendly and they debone fishing skill. excellent sole and garnel and cancer kebab. good appetizers and puddings. good to offer half bottles wein- vinho verde super. all in all excellent.
