Henry Higgins Boiled Bagels - Portland

Bagels are among my top favorite foods, and I have tried numerous varieties in New York City, ranging from good to bad to incredible. Unfortunately, the bagel I had at Henry's was just average. It did the job, but it wasn't particularly enjoyable or something I would crave again. In fact, it didn't taste very fresh. I gave it 3 stars, though, because the Tofu cream cheese was exceptional!

Great staff, friendly service. this place is actually excellent, but on my last two visit the garlic topping on the bagel is completely burned in the toasting process, which makes the taste quite distinctive. I would recommend this place, but could suggest to go only with a simple bagel.

Real bagels! actually cooked, amazing, delicious. the reuben is incredible, and the lox bagel is excellent. highly recommended to stop in text time, they are close to sellwood.

I love the bagels at this restaurant. I always enjoy a breakfast bagel sandwich on my way to work. However, today the ordering process was a bit confusing and frustrating. While it is understandable that they are only allowing one customer inside at a time due to COVID conditions, it created a situation where all customers waiting for ordering and pickups were milling around outside. I believe that simply having a sign indicating where to wait during the waiting period would make the process much clearer.

I really enjoy the bagels at this restaurant! My favorite is the Reuben.
