Whenever I find myself at PDX during the meal, this is my place. The airport location makes full-day breakfast (the rest of the Cafe Yumm does not make breakfast at all), which is great. I'll make a breakfast wrapper with a sloppy tofu, not a cheese. Each of their bowls can be veganized (Ask for vegan and they will replace the sour cream and cheese with extra avocado or cabbage / carrots) and you can add tofu (original or southwest flavor) or tempeh. Overall, the menu is very customizable so it is easy to get what you want to fit your diet and taste needs. I often get the BBQ Tofu Bento, which with BBQ Tofu on a spit, rice (selection of jasmine, brown or cauliflower; I usually go for jasmine), and asian bullies (which I love, and I ask for double for $1 extra, totally worth it). I also like the AvoCrunch salad when I feel a salad and the Smokey Yumm peel (vegan/sub extra avocado, no olives, add southwest to it) when I feel a rice dish. The ginger spice cookie is also vegan and amazing!
The Yumm sauce is like pure Nooch with some water. People love it.
I always order: side of the scrambled egg with “Deluxe Toppings” and Yum sauce. It's not in the menu. But one of the employees told me about it. I order it every time.
Almost everything can be made vegan. Had the rancheros with tofu instead of egg and no cheese. They offered extra avocado because I was eating vegan!
