Historic location in small well known college town. Located in the Town Center Square in the lower level of the Nassau Inn. Walls filled with Princeton University graduates who have gone on to make notable contributions to humanity. The space has remained the same for years, it works with the marketing. A feeling of a hideaway more than a basement. Large bar seating area, of course bar with stools and several high back wooden booths. Seating is comfortable and prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic privacy was not an issue. My experience is that the food served in the tap room is different than the food in the Inn. Not a bad thing just different. Burgers, specials, craft beer is what I prefer and they do a good job of it! Staff is professional which one would expect in Princeton, but a little stale. (Will update after my next visit) Unpretentious, they have history, location and a following. If this is what you are looking for cool if not that's on you. If you're a burger fan
Great service, great atmosphere, even better food! I started with the french onion soup which was out of this world. I also got the salmon dinner, which was cooked so perfectly. It fell apart and was full of flavor! Our server Lauren was on it and made being there amazing. Their manager Christine was also very attentive and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. I definitely recommend this place for dinner!
I adore this restaurant! They prepare splendid meals, their menu is nice, The chief cook in that restaurant is very experienced, I like very much trying all their dishes. The food is always fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the customers is helpful. I visit often this restaurant and I not even once was disappointed. Highly recommended.
Stopped here for lunch on a gorgeous fall day. The outside dining area was perfect to sit and enjoy a meal. Employees were fantastic and super friendly. The Brussel Sprouts were beyond amazing, I will defiantly be back for that dish alone! Highly recommend.
