Thank you for the soft landing, Cafe La France!
Dropped by today for a quick lunch around noon. Amazing sandwiches, to say the least. I would eat here every day if I could. Fresh ingredients, delicious grilled bread, and ample portions this place is absolutely worth your time and money.
We grabbed a coffee and a scone/croissant as we waited for our train, which was lovely. Staff was very friendly, and I asked some d questions that I bet they get tired of answering. They sell tickets for the MBTA Commuter Rail, but you need cash (or buy your ticket on the MBTA train w/a card). However, you can use a credit/debit card to purchase food there.
Funny enough, this is actually one of my favorite cafes in PVD. It's a super convenient location downtown, right inside the Amtrak/commuter rail station. The sandwich options are plenty! The drinks are smooth and well-mixed. Great place to sit and work and chat. Or wait for your train, of course.
So glad this place is in the Amtrak station. $5 excellent breakfast sandwiches where you can get focaccia for no extra charge. Really great priced vegetarian salads and to-go sandwiches. Such a lovely surprise to have such an awesome and cute cafe.
