Went there yesterday order 1/2 lobster mornay, 7 mornay scallops, prawn and scallop stick, serving of baby salt and pepper calamari $65.00, absolutely terrible, the mornay was thick and like glue, no juice at all and the mornay in the lobster was the same with no running consistency to the sauce and had to pull the lobster out with our fingers as it was so hard to do. Food was just warm and the calamari was tasteless, salt and pepper well that was not the case. What a joke with so many tourists there daily. I rang today and complained and was told someone would ring me back and that's not been the case as yet. Talking about a new fish market well you need new cooks that can follow a recipe for mornay sauce. My father was a professional lobster fisherman so I do know what I am talking about with all seafoods, over priced rubbish.
Choices galore for the seafood lover. The market itself is noisy and chaotic but that is part of the charm. Don't miss the pelicans that dot the market. Only minus is that there's no assigned seating and so if you are there solo as I was, you will have to hope for the best - (a) finding a spare table (unlikely) (b) sharing a table with a group (unlikely) or (c) finding an empty bench next to the parking pay station (likely) - after you order and collect your food.
Almost wanted to omit this venue but luckily still managed to walk to this fish market for fresh seafood. Their Aburi scallop and a set of sushis (big fat salmon, tuna, lobster) were delish!
Al di là del fatto che il posto è bello perché ricco di colori e di gente, questo mercato è il posto ideale per gustare ottimo pesce!!! Davvero ottima la qualità di tutto dalle ostriche all astice, dal sushi alle grigliate di qualsiasi genere!!!!Ci si può comprare del vino al negozio da consumare sul posto sui tavoli all interno o all apertoUnica nota stonata sono i numerosissimi gabbiani che svolazzano ovunque!!
