Feedback gevenI have mixed feelings about my recent visit to Destinos. This restaurant used to be a favorite of mine, offering authentic Mexican cuisine with style and flavor. I even convinced two friends to join me during the 2012 Quebec festival to sample their delicious dishes. However, upon arrival, I discovered that the restaurant had been sold to new owners and moved to a different location next door. Despite keeping some of the old menu items, the experience was not the same. The outdoor seating was uncomfortable, the service was slow, the drinks were lukewarm, the food was too salty, and the prices were high. I debated between giving a 2 or 3-star rating, torn between nostalgia for the old restaurant and giving the new owners a chance. I will give Destinos another try, but if it disappoints again, it will be the end for me. It's a shame, as the restaurant once had a special charm that made it a popular spot.
Excellent Mexican cuisine! The dishes are authentic and satisfyingly generous at a great value.
Edited to one star: My friend ordered a vegetarian dish and it had chicken.
I must admit to being very shared for this review of fate. Not so long ago, this restaurant was for me a classic, a place to return to each of my passages to quebec. Authentic Mexican, served with style, and especially, with taste.During the 2012 Quebec Festival, I managed to convince (easy enough) 2 friends as they had to go to fate, to taste their wonderful meals piquant or not, according to the preference of each one. Unfortunately, I only learned a shot on the spot that the restaurant had been sold to new owners, which explained the move to the local right next door. Disappointed to learn that the elders returned to their home country to deal with it, I was relieved when the waitress told me that much of the menu had been preserved, and I then said that the experience would probably be similar, even identical. And no.We were pretty bad sitting outside, a little even in the stone entrance. sitting down and staying at the level with the table without risking overturning its dish on itself proved a whole challenge. But it was just the beginning. Despite the welcoming smile of our waitress, the wait was long, the warm drinks, the meals too salty and rather ordinary, and the prices inflated. I hesitated a lot between a score of 2 or 3 out of 5. first due to this nostalgia of a restaurant that was once a favorite, and also because I am ready to leave the rider the chance. After all, I'm sure the former owners had not come to so much success as in a few months! In conclusion, I will certainly try the experiment a second time, but if it turns out not good, it will be for me the end of fate. Too bad, this place really owned a I don't know what was so successful in making it appreciated.
My wife and I came to this restaurant for dinner.
