It was already quite late (7+pm) and I haven't had any food since 11am so I was really looking forward to having Georgian dinner for the first time at 8pm. But I wanted to unpack my stuff at my AirBnB accommodation so I went there first to check in. When I went inside the restaurant, the owner completely ignored my presence. When I asked him about my reservation, he replied in German which I could not understand but he did not sound welcoming at all. He also did not give me any menu even when I was sitting at the table. He gave me such a cold impression that I did not feel comfortable at all so I just left without ordering any food. It was a very discomforting experience.
Cheese platter was very expensive (12 euro) for some slices of the same two cheap Lidl cheeses. I didn't taste any estragon in the dish with the sturgeon, it didn't have much flavor in general. The restaurant was very cold and noisy with loud music. The previous time the restaurant was closed without notice, even though we had made a reservation, so we traveled there for nothing. This time we didn't get a warm welcome either. And then they had the guts to beg for a tip, not even in a subtle way. Other Georgian restaurant are very good!
Saturday evening we want to eat something, but unfortunately we didn't get what we wanted Wine and 3 pide or börek and 3 salads paid 120€. Salads didn't even come at the same time, one gets his salad after 20 minutes, the other…. All bad!
This is an amazing restaurant: The food was fresh and tasty, it had a great range of Georgian dishes and the interior was clean and lovely. I was in a lot of Georgian places and this is the best one so far! We only waited for 20 minutes and were served by the owner of the restaurant, he was super nice and gave us tips and insight about the food. There was a private parking for customers which was very handy. Definitely recommend trying Knachapuri (Bread with grilled cheese) and Mors (fruit-drink). There also was some lovely live music in the restaurant. I, as a vegetarian found plenty of dishes to choose from and the owner helped me out. All in all, it is a perfect place to get some Georgian food which I visit time to time.
Well if you like to be thrown back in the 90s with interior, drinks and surrounding, this is the place. It has Georgian food and vodka, too. All speak Russian (even not sure if other languages), eats are good, and the vodka is by the bottle. Ideal to start slow and finish good knows where. You will find all signature Georgian dishes, too
