The man who served me was rude and arrogant, yelling at me from across the shop. He gave me a buzzer and instructed me to sit down, but I chose to stand by the river while waiting. I had a negative experience and will not be returning to this establishment.
I stopped by this restaurant while walking with my small Scottie dog. The customer service was excellent and the food was amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Saltburn. A visitor from Glasgow who was staying in his motorhome also said it was a fantastic hidden gem.
We used to be regular customers at this cafe ever since it changed ownership. The coffee and service were excellent, but since the lockdown, they have stopped setting up tables and chairs outside. Each time we visit, the quality of service and products has declined. Today, on 27.08.22, was the worst experience yet. We ordered a flat white and a mocha, but the flat white was just okay and the mocha turned out to be a latte. When we complained, they simply added a spoonful of chocolate powder to the latte. A mocha is not a latte with chocolate. We will be looking for a new place to get our Saltburn brews.
We called here for coffee and a scone. We choose "posh "scones and had to discard them as they were far from fresh. Very disappointing because we used to call here when the previous owner had it and always enjoyed the cakes. Lack of proper seats om the patio area is another no-no for us.
We had just spent £75 in Tomahawk next door. Kids spotted the waffle sticks. Another £10 then they saw the bracelets and ankle bracelets. Another £20!!! Of course I could say no but it was our last day. Kids enjoyed the waffle. Wasn’t bad for £5 and they loved their jewellery. A nice little shop.
