I 'd been something of a regular customer to Chopstix since it 's opening in Redditch town centre, and living as I do, not a stone 's throw from the shops, I found myself nipping in most weekends! Service was generally friendly and swift, portion sizes were generous with that carefree have a little extra attitude toward the stuffing of the noodle boxes. For only a fiver, I could leave the restaurant with a box of noodles stuffed to bulging with noodly goodness! The salt n ' pepper chicken wasn 't perhaps of the finest quality, but at those prices and portions, I certainly was not one to complain, and this review could have only been glowing! However, and as I 'm sure, at no fault at all to the individuals at the Redditch branch of Chopstix, the company as a whole has seemingly changed its philosophy and practises for the worse as of quite recently. It seems as if Chopstix, instead of imbuing itself with the atmosphere of a quick and easy, bang for your buck noodle house, is instead beginning to treat itself more and more as a cheap fast food option. As such, the portion sizes dramatically decreased as the prices were slightly raised. I went in with my partner to find the place impersonally decked out with a new, rather clinical look, and the counter manned by a whole team of staff rather than just a cook and server (as I 'd been used to). I can only imagine that they have had to find a lot of corners to cut in order to cover so many pay packets! I ordered what I expected to be my usual salt n ' pepper chicken noodles and received what can only be described as a poxy offering of four or five chicken pieces atop a rather measly bed of noodles. I mean this review not to discredit any of the I 'm sure hard working staff at the Redditch branch of Chopstix. I am sure that each of them are performing their jobs admirably. I mean it rather to air my frustrations at Chopstix 's change of direction as a company. It has never been so starkly obvious that profits are being prized beyond the quality of the customer experience. I shall not be visiting Chopstix again.
The food here is amazing. It is always freshly prepared and has an authentic taste. There is seating inside and a little outside. The staff are friendly but it is always the food which brings me back! Outstanding.
I was so dissapoited when chopstix closed down. Went today again, under new management. Place looks great, only shame the tatse has changed, what a shame. My husband loved it
We go to chopstix most weekends we visit the king fisher, the food is always amazingly tasty even my fussy 8 year old loves it lots of choices and very generous helpings
During a previous visit to the shopping center, we noticed Chopstix and decided to give it a try this time. We were impressed with the freshness of the food and found the fiver meal deal to be a great value. The food was hot and delicious, and we are considering getting a large meal for takeout next time for £5.50.
