Golden Sun Restaurant - REDLAND BAY

Ordered takeaway, went to pick up, got home wrong order handed to us, went back was given correct order. Arrived home to find food was inedible. Honey chicken overcooked to the point of being tough and cold. Fried rice tasteless and so was the rest of the $65 meal and it went into the garbage bin. Very disappointed seeing we had eaten there previously, think they need a new cook.

Our booking was for 5.30. We arrived a little late. We were the only customers. We had the Chinese Banquet. The service was very slow. It was 8.30 when we left. The hostess was lovely. The food was very enjoyable. The mini spring rolls and fried wontons were delicious.The chicken and corn soup was well flavoured and chunky.The king prawn and cashew dish was very fresh and plenty of vegetables.The sweet and sour pork was old fashioned. Yummy.The satay beef was yummy.The honey chicken was also made the old way.We had ice cream and topping to finish off.The toffee banana was amazing.Also the fried ice was yummy.The Vietnamese ice coffee was very very yummy. Sweet due to it been made with condensed milk. Even so. It gets a big tick.A little after dinner mint or cookie would have been nice.They had a good selection of wines beers and spirits.I would recommend the Golden Sun to you all.

I grabbed some take away from here last night I don't have much time to right a big spiel on how bad the food was because I can't get off the toilet something must have been bad thanks you so much golden sun I will never return.

In a rush so ordered takeaway. Service was OK. Tried three dishes which were all Ok but not better or worse than dozens of other Chinese.

We enjoyed a mix of Chinese and Vietnamese food with all the mains beautiful. We had coconut prawns for entree and they were a little overcooked but still delicious. The servise was fast and efficient all this at reasonable prices.
