They do have some daily specials for around $3.50, but seating is limited. We also suspect there may be an issue with American Express payments. I initially paid with AMEX, only to be told they don't accept it and my payment didn't go through. I then used my Visa card, but later noticed that my AMEX had been charged. When I asked about this, they claimed they don't actually receive payments from AMEX, which didn't make sense to me. Overall, there are better sushi options on Sheridan Street for $4 each, with higher quality available at the whole foods shop.
I ordered a takeaway chicken katsu and rice. The chicken was a little soggy and not the best, but it might be better if eaten fresh at the restaurant. The dumplings were good though!
I waited for 30 minutes for 2 orders of takeout sushi at the restaurant, which was only a third full. There was no apology for the wait, and the person next to me had the same order number, which was confusing.
Most disappointed with our service and the freshness of sushi purchased yesterday at the Stockland Earlville store. Took one bite of my “chicken avo black rice” sushi and had to spit it out as it tasted very suspect and was warm. I went straight up to the counter with it to explain that this sushi was very warm sushi and tasted odd and the gentleman and I use this term loosely, simply snapped at me “IT’s FRESH” snatching the full container from me turning his back on me he then proceeded to the other side of the counter to serve some other poor unsuspecting sole that he is subjecting possible food poising onto. I was very kind with my communications and careful not to make a scene in front of other customers and was not even offered a refund or offer of anything else, I feel this mans behaviour was completely unwarranted. So a reminder to the owners of this small business Cairns is a small town and word gets around, so respect your fellow human especially their health, have your refrigerator cabinets checked regularly and don’t be so rude.
Grabbed a takeaway and couldn't believe how much to choose from, superb selection. Great value, rolls are huge and the quality was excellent.
