Great dining experience, sweet ,sweet tea and they 'll give you a giant to go cup if you ask] . Best pulled pork , with a wonderful flavor best I 've had there in 25 yrs) and hot chicken on the bar with regular refills added. Try the apple cheese cobbler , it made the hundred places to eat before you die AL list. This place has been featured in Southern magazines down to the bluecross blue sheild yearly calendar. There is a reason. Good folks, working hard to make sure you are fed the freshest , most flavorful foods served by polite Southern employees in a historical rich atmosphere. The pies are tasty too, so save some room. The buttermilk pie, taste just like a Krispy Kreme doughnut if you ask them to warm you a slice. And they will even sell you a whole pie if you get there early enough. They are made fresh each morning. Two words can be used for the whole experience, yum full.
Been seeing and hearing about this restaurant. We live about 2 1/2 hours away and it was definitely worth the drive. Already making plans to return. We ate from the buffet and were NOT disappointed. The pecan pie and lemon meringue were delicious!!. Jennifer was waitress and she was super.
