We all had china cups which were taken to the end of the table and filled with tea from a pot and if coffee was wanted, the cup was taken away to be filled. There was no food on the table at this point so our tea/coffee got cold while we waited on food to arrive. A cake stand arrived eventually but no sandwiches which we had to wait for again. It was difficult to get a second cup. One of my cups of tea was poured from a pot but topped up with hot water. It was very strange and we've never had this sort of service befor. I can only assume something had gone wrong in the kitchen.
Regular customers to this establishment . Service, today Sunday 4-2-24 was not of the usual standard. We waited 20 minutes for tea, a meal accompaniment, having ordered it as such with the food, after being served lunch. Eventually served with poor grace by a staff member who failed to apologise but mentioned how busy they were ! Disappointing I expected far better.
Food was up to the usual good standard at a Caulders restaurant. The only drawback was parking which was an absolute nightmare. I have a Blue badge and there were too few spaces. An overflow carpark was signed but we’ve yet to find it. I shudder to imagine what it’s like at a weekend. Such a pity, I don’t think we’ll be back.
Went here for lunch today, first visit and very pleasantly surprised, don't normally go to garden centres. Sat in conservatory which is very nice. The girls that served us were both lovely. Very nice atmosphere. Food excellent, sandwiches well packed with filling. Saturday afternoon so was packed but service was still surprisingly quick. Will go again.
Love to go here throughout the year but, especially at Christmas the decor is great and the food is magic, lots to peruse.
