Great atmosphere, and fantastic food. I recommend you try the pork schnitzel
We had caught the day that contained heavy fish. the food was fabulous, nicely cooked, the service was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. our waiter took his time to answer our questions correctly and he was beautiful. such a tasty bite to go into a restaurant, the menu includes a special dish over the same 6 dishes that make every restaurant and is very boring!
It 's such a shame to see this place go down hill. It appears that the original staff before lockdown have all but vanished besides the odd one. As a result the Sun In has now gone from being a great gastro pub to a woo-girl (Google/UD it) eatary and sports bar. I imagine this was perhaps done by the owners to try and bring in a more alcohol friendly audience to combat the less impressive menu. Food was mostly good however one dish served to one of the party contained an ingredient, that was not listed on the menu. We spoke to the new manager who sorted it but our plates were cleared well before the affected party member had finished. Almost provoking a quick turn around time for a modestly filled restaurant/bar area.
I was fortunate to have my train to Sheffield delayed, which led me to discover this restaurant on Google Maps. The food was delicious, and the service from all the staff I dealt with was top-notch. Thank you!
