Cafeteria Breoghan - Ribadeo

Great bar-cafe, with wifi and with options for pilgrims. As all Spanish places, does not serve food at some hours of the day. Coffee​ all day round.

We have been this morning, to have a coffee and an infusion. The man has surprised us, inviting us to some pieces of cake and some cookies that were delicious, and if the detail were not enough, he has gone for lemons for my infusion. Everything has been a great detail and attention of 10

Very unfriendly and even rude since the change of owners years ago it was from a very friendly family . We went on a Sunday at snack time around 1pm and we ordered some beers and a coke zero . We kindly asked for snacks and were told that the kitchen was closed ? . So we also kindly told the waitress who had a scowl on her face that if they had any cans of cockles, mussels, etc. or a bag of potatoes and he told us the same thing I don 't understand what the kitchen has to do with all this . After a while a waiter also with a grim face appears with the beers and a zero beer instead of the coke everyone can be wrong . The problem was that instead of acknowledging the mistake, the waitress told her that my wife who doesn 't drink beer hadn 't ordered zero coke but zero beer in a bad way. We kindly asked the waiter if he could bring us something to snack on like some potato chips let 's see if they said yes this time and this time he says yes, but he tells my friend who asks her to say the magic words Can you be more rude? , to which my friend, in shock, says please? to which he replies that 's it ... Very loud... Later, when he returns with the correct coke after talking to the waitress who refused to bring us potatoes she tells us that there are no potatoes, that the bags are very big and they are not going to open it for an appetizer... Incredible. We have been clients of Breogán for many years some more years than the waiters had and although we do not live in Ribadeo permanently, we have a house there or in the area, we go several times a year, and most of us have family in Ribadeo or in the area and we go not only in summer. We will never go back to this bar even though it is next door to one of our houses and we have informed family and friends of the incident and of the rude and impertinent treatment received. One can have whatever political opinions one wants, but this incident had a very clear anti-summer nationalist whiff of Madrid it was a feeling that we all had, although they were completely wrong because we were either family Galicians or from Bilbao although most of us reside and or work in Madrid . And even if we were really all from Madrid, that is not the way to treat anyone, wherever they are from. I had never seen anything like it here or anywhere, although our friend from Bilbao told us what happened there before. I don 't see much of a future for them.
