Great place, really old pub that serves great food, I was looking forward to the whole menu which looks really good but we went on a Sunday and was only giving a Sunday menu roast etc. But I guess that's my bad for not checking. Saying that I had prawn and crayfish cocktail and pork roast it was really nice. A pint Guinness and two Cokes, two starters two roasts £46. I thought that was good as the food is quality and well cooked, nice restaurant good car park and some toilet humor (see photo) .

A wonderful cosy pub with really excellent, good value food, great beer and friendly staff. Well worth a visit if you are nearby or a 5 minute diversion off the A1 for a memorable meal! The steaks and pies were really outstanding!

Great food and lovely setting. The steak pie that they specialise in is incredible. We visit here everytime we’re up in Richmond now.

Fantastic service and fantastic food. I've been 4 times over about 4 years and it has always remained consistently good with a seasonal menu. Highly recommend. Also instead of spending a fortune on rubbish food at Scotch Corner services on the A1, this little gem is about an extra 2 mins down.
