In this caffe, there may be some good reviews about eating, but we will not try again – to have found the owner to be so off. we were looking for a dog friendly midday place on a rainy day. there is a generous veranda that overlooks the café front, with large seating underneath and a small table and chairs right in front of its protection. as the only customer in caffe had suggested to move the table and the chairs under veranda, the owner simply spoke the name of the customer in a ton to silence them. there was no attempt by the owner to take in any wise place. (what a pity for the personal also, lacks on the opportunity for tips. Perhaps this place is successful enough – at least now – that the customer service is optional. it is however a rarer place that can afford to do this, and look at the menu, it did not see that special and not good worth. harbour albert may be a small town, but there are some possibilities. we landed at wildfish instead – a very pleasant experience, a similar price range to port albert caffe, but wildfish is a real restaurant with delicious food, a great location at kai, great visibility, and impeccable and welcoming service.
Very rude work here! lady refused to take our group and called to employees and customers. no customer deserves to be spoken so even if they felt too busy to take more customers
I took a day trip from melbourne and would travel here again, just to visit port albert cafe wine bar. Owner/Koch, kim wherett’s cooking style brings donna hay with its creative fusion of aromen and passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients (and locally, where possible). I had beautiful large, fresh cocos yarns, which were boiled to crispy perfection, served with cocose rice with roasted schalottes, a homemade mango sauce and a generous partial salad of zucchini benches, carrots, capsicum, granatapfel and cashews (i.e. not their "typical boring side salad "). all aromen created a wonderful fusion of modern Australian and Asian cuisine. kim recommended one of her smoothie creations incubators, mints and passions fruit, which was very refreshing and compliment my meal was perfect. I also have to take a chocolate, date and walnut meringue cake that cracked on the outside and rich and fudge as in the center (donna would approve! in combination with the nautical caffe fitout, picturesque location and kims gast friendship, this place ship form perfection.
First night in the new house and came in for an early breakfast. Food was delicious and very good sizing for value. Coffees were also very good. Love the Interior too and the cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back in the future for some of the take away cakes too.
