Public House 29 - Rochester

Party of 8 . We had the entire room next to the out door patio to ourselves. Resevations at 6:30 on a Thursday evening. We were seated as soon as we arrived. Took 10 minutes to get menu's and take drink orders. Took 20 minutes before server returned with drinks (mostly water) to take appitizer and food orders. 25 minute for appitizers to arrive. 35 minutes after appitizers had been served our main order was served. We had been there a hour and a half and we were just jetting our food. I do not eat after 8:00 and I was paying the entire bill so after I am doing take out. Not once did our server ever appoligize or accept responsiblity for the delay. This event would have been tolerable had the place been busy but it was not. The food was ok. Service lousy. Overall assement will never be back

Service can be pretty slow but food is good. Love the outdoor space. They do take reservations which is hard to find.

Place was not crowded, but we couldn't find anyone to bring us a menu! Our fifth visit was our last. Too many good alternatives out there to wait 35 minutes for a menu. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Had lunch here with several friends, the service was great, the food was salty for my taste and the price was about average for the area. I do recommend you give it a try I will be back to order something other than the Italian Beef, I heard the gumbo was very good.
