Munch King - Rochford

I have family nearby so often pop in for fish and chips, most of the time the fish had been kept warm, so is overcooked inside, stopped having it, until we went one day as it opened and fish was lovely as it was freshly cooked, I know people don't like to wait, but I'd rather wait and have nice fish.

This is the best fish and chip shop in the area. I really enjoy the chips here, and I often order the chicken nuggets for kids as well. I love it and will definitely be coming back again.

Whenever I'm in the area, I always make sure to visit Munch Kings for their delicious fish and chips. I just wish they were closer to where I live. The food is always fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced.

I visited this restaurant a while back and unfortunately, I found that nothing has changed since my last visit. The fish seemed to be thawed and cooked in batches, then kept warm for a long time. I will definitely not be returning. On the other hand, Fish N Go near the airport cooks fresh to order and is always closed after weekends and holidays to ensure fresh fish. Despite passing by four other fish and chip shops in Rochford, I will continue going to Fish N Go. I gave the previous restaurant a second chance, but was disappointed as it was a waste of my time. It is clear that they do not prioritize quality.

I have lived in Hockley for over fifteen years and have just discovered this little gem of a take out. The food is lovely and fresh, fish cooked to perfection couldn’t recommend this takeout highly enough happily travel out further then local shops closer to me. Service great, and staff very friendly.
