Depending on the size you order 5 you can choose the type of meat in the pot. If you order the large, you can choose 2 meats. We had 6 people, so we ordered both the large and the medium that was enough food for all of us. Rice is ordered per bowl. We ordered catfish and chicken cartilage with hot sauce or garlic sauce. The hot sauce is a Szechuan spicy and it was quite delicious. But I really liked the garlic sauce in which we added noodles. The noodles were chewing and super good. I'd come back to get this back with different meats!
The best mala xiang guo ever in California. Very recommended. I called the small pot and with so many side dishes and they will be a big pot enough for 2
Love love this restaurant so much! It's like my consolation. This restaurant discovered years ago, told my friends about it, and they went crazy about it also HAHA Chinese dry pot is probably one of my weaknesses in life because I cannot resist when I see a Chinese dry pot #hehe. I have tried several dry pot restaurants and Qiwei is so far the best and most authentic I always go with the BEEF dry pot with the ORIGINAL SPICY SAUCE and then I add my fav add-ons; Lunch meat, wide Vermicelli noodles, and mushrooms. NOTE ADD TOO MUCH Adding more add-ons does not mean more portions, they are actually less and less of everything. The pot itself already comes with a generous amount of potato, cauliflower, celery and bean spices. Cant wait to go backkk
We often came here and brought a lot of family and friends here to eat. My last review was posted 7 years ago with a 4 star review. However, quality has declined dramatically over the years. They began to stab meat and veggie. They don't put any more garlic, sometimes you will find 1 garlic. I asked her why no more garlic. The lady said because some people don't eat garlic. Have you seen a Chinese person who doesn't want garlic in the dish? I do not eat the garlic, but garlic improves the taste of food. If they don't do well, they should just be real and tell me that business isn't good and need to reduce costs. We apologize that some people don't eat garlic is ridiculous to me. Maybe they don't do well and try to reduce costs, but the stinging on the food will cause fewer people to go.
Just think of hot pot but with no soup. If you're a hot pot lover but sometimes you're not in the mood for soup. Dry pot is the way to go. The menu is very simple, you bscially can pick a single or combo which comes in 2 different meat. It comes with assorted veggies, such as bean sprouts , celery, cauliflower, ect. You can also add additional veggies from the menu for additional price. we ordered the combo large pot, with intestines and chicken wings with mild spicy. You can choose the spicier level if you can handle, but the server recommed mild to be on the safe side. The intestines and the chicken came out to be perfectly cooked. Spice level is good. Service was fast and great, we got our food no lalter than 10-15 minutes. We did come on a Wednesday, Weekends do get busy. I see that they offer on skewers on the skillets, I'd love to come back to try it.
