The Firecrest - Rura

From the moment we arrived to the end of our time at this restaurant, we experienced the best service in a long time! The friendly staff quickly seated us in the beautiful and quiet garden. Our drinks were promptly served by attentive and welcoming staff. We ordered the pork belly and the house burger, and were pleasantly surprised by how well the pork belly, mash, and apple sorbet paired together. The burger was out of this world, with a soft bun, flavorful patty, and the tastiest sauce. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant more often. Our compliments to the front of house staff and kitchen team for their excellent work. Stop by and experience it for yourself!

Love it here, always a warm welcome from our regular waiter who always recognises us and the dog. Best fish and chips I've had in ages.

Only back from a wonderful Sunday dinner. the workers were busy but polite and extremely efficient. delicious, fresh and hot lunch enjoyed by me and my husband. many sweet and portions were plentiful. thanks to the whole team. we will come back.

Lovely cosy historic pub, great atmosphere, real fire. The food was brilliant but the puddings let it down for me. Just not of the same standard. Even with a busy mother's day nothing ran out. Service was a little slow but not surprising given how busy they were. On the plus side there were lots of staff to look after us. I am very fussy my children are over the moon with how well it went and the food. The scallops and cod loin were excellent and I really want a whole plate to myself rather than just trying a little bit.
