Cafe X: By Any Beans Necessary

Cafe X has immediately become my coffee shop of choice. I had a meeting, so I didn’t take pictures, and I’m so bummed about it! The cafe is GORGEOUS! You can feel the love that went into every little detail. I can confidently say that this place is for the culture. There are several seating areas and even a swing! The owners really outdid themselves! As far as the coffee goes, I had the Brown Suga. The name says it all… espresso, milk, and brown suga. It was delightful! I will definitely be a regular here. I can’t wait to bring all my people!

Back in June I was in San Diego for work. Looking for a nice coffee shop to get a coffee and something to eat for the drive back north to the bay area with my wife, I searched and found this highly rated location. We made the drive and glad we did! Service was really great, both of us loved our lattes (salted caramel was fab) and the co-op concept they are doing for the neighborhood is fantastic. A pleasant surprise. Glad we made the stop!

One of the best cafes in San Diego that invites all communities. I could tell the owner loved her cafe but also the community and making sure everyone was satisfied. Also not to mention, its Black owned!!

I was in sd for a few hours on the way from some community work, and stumbled upon this spot while trying some rocklimbing next door (also a great, legit, local biz I was lucky to try). I drink alot of coffee and have worked in service so I appreciate cafes and the work that goes in alot but rarely review. But drinking this iced hazlenut latte and cheese danish I have to praise Miss Cynthia and the other folks who run this beautiful place. The inention and interconnection that drives this place coffee selection, roasting, food sourcing, art on the walls, welcoming space, cooperative mission, mutual aid resources is nothing short of inspiring. And that intention translates into some of the smoothest, most creative coffee and latte blend I've had. Don't miss out and while you're at it spread the word to friends and fam. Looking forward to my next trip to try more from here.
