Darling Aviary - Sacramento

First timers at this spot! Came by on Halloween weekend and were very impressed by the fun atmosphere and good music. Unfortunately, our night took a turn when Maricela accused us of not paying for our drinks. Not only did she take our order (and forget what we ordered and had to ask us again), she handed us the payment device where we paid and handed it back to her. Her attitude was uncalled for and unprofessional, especially when we knew we had already paid. It was almost hard to believe she couldn't remember handing us the device. Not sure what was going on for her. We later pulled up the transaction on our bank statement as proof where other staff members, like Felipe, where kind enough to address the issue. Overall, seems like a cool place as long as this doesn't happen again lol. Might check it out again when we're in the area.

Maricela. You were the rudest bartender I have ever experienced. I am literally in the industry. Halloween weekend you tried to claim that we didn 't pay for our drinks.. when 4 drinks were $86 with tip. You charged the f out of us, and then had the nerve to say we didn 't pay?? It was Halloweekend, and everyone is having a good time and we literally came to darling first because my husband worked there previously and we have always had incredible service, until we met you. Like I said, I am in the industry and it was very clear that you had some drinks on your shift. Which again, I 'm in the industry girl, but don 't drink to the point that you don 't even remember charging your customer that TIPPED YOU A NICE TIP. Saying enjoy your free drinks. It 's whatever is so damn rude, to people WHO PAID. get your life together, be better, and make better drinks. To be disrespected and served some low key trash drinks is CRAZY. The highlight: Thank you felipe and Terri for taking care of us after this horrible experience. We showed felipe the transaction and he felt so bad that he got us a new round on the house. And thank you to Chris Harvey for the amazing service and attitude, you made our night better just by saying what 's up. Darling used to be such a chill vibe, a place to go outside of the craziness of all the other downtown bars.. but now.. I would not recommend this place which is so sad after all the good times we 've had here! Get the vibe back darling, we miss you!

Came all the way from London and this place was recommended by a friend. Came here on a Saturday night and paid $10 each for entry. Then found out we still needed to queue for the rooftop bar. Okay, no problem … don’t mind waiting the estimated 35-45mins. Over 3 hours later, we’re still waiting our turn. Quite disappointed!

Got there with 6 other friends. We are in our early 40’s and bartender only one on a Saturday night) ignored us because young girls came coming up to the bar and he would take their orders. When he finally took our order he was very dismissed like it was a burden to attend to us ? I WILL NEVER GO BACK. However, “The Tiger and Dive bar” were excellent, atmosphere drinks and service.

Nice, little rooftop bar where you can enjoy views of downtown Sacramento. We came on a weekday evening and there was a good amount of guests that were there. They had a DJ that day so we were treated to good music and entertainment. Tried several items including their lemon pepper wet wings, nest fries, Toriya! Sando and Blue Jay burger. They were not skimping at all on the curly fries. A very generous amount. There wasn't a single item that we didn't enjoy but it did take some time to get our orders. Their brunch menu looks very intriguing so I'll definitely give them a visit to try out that.
