I walked in and not one person greeted me or said hi be right with you . I had to make my presence and say I have a mobile order. Told them my name but it wasn 't ready yet. Waited a couple minutes and then it was ready. She said my name and when I grabbed the sandwich I said thank you but no reply back. They could have given a **** if I was there or not. The sandwich had good flavor but they bread is horrible. It gets soggy really quick. For a $15 regular sandwich and careless service, I 'll never come back here. Crust is a good sandwich spot but they close early.
$19 for a large Phili cheese steak sandwich made with steemed unseasoned meat. I'm not going back. They have better firehouse subs at the great mall.
What happened to this place? We have been a few times in the past and the sandwiches were quite good. I order the same every time. A smokehouse turkey hot on wheat. I ordered a M, which was the size of a small. The bread was really squishy. kind of like cheap bread; in fact Wonder bread comes to mind. The tomatoes were non-existent, the lettuce was wet, and the turkey was mostly non-existent. I added the drink and chips for an extra 3.75. I didn't realize it was a super sized drink, who can drink that much? I could have done with a small drink. The chips were stale, one month away from expiration. Terrible overall. So for 1 measly sandwich, a bag of stale chips and a supersized beverage the bill was $20. a small tip was included. Is it under new management? Will not be returning ever.
I have loved firehouse subs for many years, but the last time I ordered, I paid more than $17 for a sandwich and it had about half the meat that it usually does. And this was for a 6” sub! Nearly $20 for a 6” sub that mostly just tastes like bread just feels ridiculous. I really hope they go back to making their sandwiches the way they used to especially if they are going to continue to charge such a high prices.
The Hook-and-Ladder sub was great, generous helping of flavorful ham. I had it for the first time in another state and am glad to see that it is as good here as it was there.
