La Superica - Saint-Jean-de-Luz

Do yourself a favor and visit La Superica if you’re in the area. Lafitenia, which is close by is one of the best point breaks to surf and so is the food Will and Gary will chef up for you, best tex mex cuisine I had so far in Europe. Two of the best in class things right there…doesn’t get much better! Oh..and make sure to finish off your meal with a Coconut/Chocolate Donut, the bomb!

Where to start? La Superica is a brilliant addition to the already exquisiteSW France/Basque country experience of surf, eat, repeat. Owned and operated by an American with first-hand Mexican cuisine insight and a former chef Scotland and born out of passion and entreprenuerial spirit. Take an alternative route back to the main road after checking the surf at Lafitenia (Keep going straight past the ocean camping while the road bends to the right and after 200m, you'll see La Superica on your left. I came for lunch and ended up not eating anywhere else for 4 days straight. The portions are gigantic by French standards, and everything is made fresh on site, pico de gallo, guacamole and amazing cocktails.. Do yourself a favor and swing by before the cat's out of the bag. I guarantee you this place will get crazy busy in no time
