But I gave them 5 stars anyways because… #1 Holly (I think or Heidi) was our server and she was hump busting the whole time and kept our drinks full and was very personable even though she was under stress. #2 The food was amazing. I had the salmon salad!!! So good and healthy. My wife had the Reuben. Best Reuben in STL! We also had the potato pancakes. Delish!!! #3 Family. It’s a family run place. We felt like family when were there and they were obviously short staffed in the back of house. You don’t throw family under the bus when they are down. 5 stars and I will go again!!!
My go to Jewish deli in STL. Have not had a negative experience here. Always fan of a custom deli omelette, pastrami and Munster this time around. My dads lox and eggs was massive. Good spot for a meal.
For the best Ruben sandwiches in 2 states Pumpernickles has everyone else beat. Dining room wasn't open cause of Covid. So we ate in the car, but came prepared with roll of paper towels and a bag to put trash in. Please note Ruben there are messy and will need the paper towels.
First, the wait staff was amazing. They gave my party a great time: lots of laughs and excellent service. Second, the food was delicious. My Aztec omelette was fantastic. I will definitely recommend this deli to my friends.
One of the best Reubens in STL, will definitely be back for more.
