The Herbivorous Butcher has an excellent reputation, but I didn't know if their sandwiches could compete with other local well-respected sandwich shops. That was before I tried the Italian sandwich! It was recommended to me by the kind person who works the counter, and I'm so glad I tried. It was crispy, chewing, savory and a little sweet. I loved the garlic Mayo and cherry pepper Relish. The bread was soft and easy to eat. Sometimes sandwich shops have crispy bread that is hard to bite through, but this Hoagie roll did not give me such trouble. The vegetable meat on the sandwich was so tasteful and chewing. I swallowed my sandwich, and I can't wait to bring my friend here to try. I want to try all sandwiches on their menu now! The sandwich also came with chips, which is always beautiful. The shop is sweet and funny. The food is amazing. Very recommended!
Amazing! If you are looking for vegan options, this is a goal. Meat and cheese are delicious. I also picked up snacks and a shirt. The ranch is particularly good.
I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian, but today I decided to give the Herbivorous Butcher an attempt. They were excellent! I am all to shift my eating habits to a plant-based, sustainable diet and if all meat substitutes tasted this good with such an excellent texture, I would do that for all my meals! The cold cuts on their sandwich were phenomenal! Yeah, I can say it's not quite meat, but honestly, it's a very close thing. Better than that: the taste is actually as good as anyone I have from my local Jewish deli! Great food! Order from here!
Amazing place as a general vegan branch. Specializes in a variety of flavored vegan meat and deli meat. Very good in taste. Also has its own special vegan deli sandwiches. One of the most delicious vegan meeting places in the Minneapolis- Saint Paul region. Sandwiches are huge proportions and a little expensive, although the money is worth after me. Deli meat is affordable.
The concept alone is just very cool. I order a Sriracha brat with spicy Mayo and got a s’more cookie/brookie. So good! Even bought a pack of the brats to take home
