Run by a young couple, the owners create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. It's great to have a quality dining option in Morin-Heights without having to travel to nearby towns.
O Petit is now known as La Fouine. It is a cozy hidden gem with a lovely terrace. The restaurant has a charming rustic look. We visited for dinner on a Friday night and were disappointed to find it nearly empty. We chose from a reasonably priced wine list and ordered the classic bavette fries for me and filet mignon for my husband. Both dishes were excellent. For dessert, we enjoyed a salted caramel brownie, which was also delicious. The experienced waiter provided excellent service and seemed genuinely invested in the success of La Fouine. Since we live nearby, we plan to return. Visitors passing through Morin Heights in search of a quiet restaurant away from the busyness of St Sauveur will be pleasantly surprised by La Fouine.
We were pleasantly surprised to discover that O'Petit had rebranded as La Fouine, with new ownership, as we stopped for a midweek lunch. The food was still delicious as ever, and we sat outside on the patio enjoying a local beer. I especially enjoyed my pear, apple, and brie panini on crusty bread. We were happy to see that they still offered fish and chips on Fridays. The service was excellent.
The name of this restaurant has recently changed to La Fouine. The same chef is there for breakfast and lunch.
This small, affordable restaurant served us excellent ribs and fries in a charming and quiet venue. Appropriate for families, couples or business. We went at dinner time on the weekend, mostly because we had noticed that the place can be packed for breakfast on the terrasse. Friendly service and generous portions.
