The price is affordable, it is not as crowded as a zoo, and you get more tiger focus than you in a zoo anyway. They take care of the tigers very well. They tell you the story of the individual tigers in their care, and they give a lot of education about tigers in general. There was this little black house cat that lives on site called Watson. He stole the show that followed us wherever we were on the tour. You have a small gift shop, and they have accommodation where you can actually stay on site if you want. All in all a great place if you love tigers. The ride outside there are amazing as well as beautiful rolling landscape hills.
I visited back in 2018; made a second visit in March 2022, where my spouse and I stayed overnight, so I wanted to share accommodation thoughts. There are 3 buildings where you can stay (Tiger Den, Tiger Pointe, Tiger View Lodge). We were at the Tiger View Lodge because it is the only building where you can see the tigers from inside. Very recommended. Our room was large, comfortable, had a private bathroom. There are 2 terraces; one overlooks the tiger, the other overlooks the landscape. The lodge has several common areas; Kitchen, dining room that flows into living room with fireplace, room with billiard table flows in room with TV/games. Very spacious. Building has 4 bedrooms. My photos tell the story. The sanctuary is a big thing. They help tigers who were "untreated to give them a home and a care. For the last time I knew there were only 3 tigers. I took one of the regularly planned tours (only the basics); there is also a VIP tour and an early bird tour that costs even more. For just $10, I received a 45 50 minutes tour telling me the story of the tigers why they are there, give a lot of time to get from different angles then in the educational center with pictures, videos of the tigers, and Fizzy Izzy root beer named after Izzy one of the tigers! The people who work here are passionate. The place is perfectly well maintained and the focus is on the tigers. If you just want to check the basic tour You were at 11:00, 1:00, and 3:00 Thur Sun otherwise check the Fancier and reserve.
The coach was great, very good over the tigers and gave a wonderful tour. It was a little warm the day we visited and the trian was nice enough to give my older mother back to the store. FYI, they have a few picnic tables in front of the store, well shaded area where we bought sandwiches for lunch and enjoyed a bite there on the property. Overall it was a great time....
Well informed staff, sleeping rooms are clean and beautiful and the animals are healthy and well maintained. 45 minutes tour was cool. Absolutely a great stay!
This was a fabulous experience. Not an animal show but a retirement home for tigers rescued from animal shows, roadside attractions etc. These beautiful animals are respected and very well cared for.
