Christo's Pizzeria Lounge - Salem

The food was served cold and had too much seasoning. Our order was incorrect, and we were unable to order drinks because of the temperature in the restaurant. We did request coffee to warm up, but it only came in a half-full cup.

Christo's has long been one of the best pizza spots in the city. However, I've noticed a decline in quality during my last few visits. I'm not sure if it's due to staffing issues, but the pizza consistently feels underwhelming. I've even started preheating my oven before picking up my order. Additionally, they forgot the honey on my Pera Prosciutto last night, which left me feeling a bit frustrated. I truly believe this place has the potential to bounce back, so while I'm not angry, I am disappointed.

My husband, best friend, and I visited on Saturday and sat in the lounge. Our server/bartender, whose name I can't remember (and I feel terrible about it, as she truly deserved praise!), was fantastic. The Caesar salad was delicious, the pizza was amazing, and the calzone was large enough to share between two people! However, I ordered the shrimp scampi, which I typically enjoy with noodles. Instead, they prepare their scampi with rice and a brown sauce. I was caught off guard when it arrived, as it didn't look appealing to me. My husband enjoyed the flavor, but I didn't care for it at all, and I barely managed to eat three bites. Our server was very kind about it and even removed it from the bill after seeing that I didn't like it and didn't finish my meal. We will definitely return, as I'd love to try other dishes. Does she take tips?

The first time experience and will not be the last. For dinner there was a bottle of wine, seafood and pasta. Everything was delicious and the service was great! We saw signs that they have live music and we look forward to stopping for some cocktails and music in the future.

Love this place been coming here for years. Every time I order to go it's always burnt and small portions that's why I'm rating it 3 stars. If you eat your food there it's always amazing but they need to work on their to go orders a little more
