Melting Pot - Samoëns

Here first as a couple, then later in the week as a group of 10. the food was great, the staff was really nice. while we were probably a bit loud that you get kids with us, they were absolutely in order. the french tweezers. suppe was amazing! will be back.

We were lucky as we had not booked (I strongly recommend booking! and managed to get a table for 4 (2 adults 2 kids . There are kids options but the kids wanted bolognese which was not on the kids menu, but the kind staff...split a portion into 2 for them. For the adults, we had the charcuterie platter and the onion soup for starters. The soup was delicious and the selection of cheese and charcuterie on the platter was terrific. (See image . For mains we both had the tartiflette and it was amazing, I was concerned that it might be TOO cheesy as they have an entire block of reblochon on top but the potatoes and lardons undercut it nicely. I was disappointed when I finished it! The kids had ice cream for dessert and quite enjoyed it. There is a nice selection of savoiarde wines, which are reasonably priced. Overall the bill came to €116 which was very good for 4 people (8 courses with 2 bottles of wine. We received free shots of genepi when we payed the bill which topped the evening off nicely. Everyone that we dealt with was super helpful and kind. Overall, if I am in the area again, I will definitely come back.

Avis mitigé car la cuisine est très bonne (goûtez absolument la tartiflette c'est un vrai régal), mais salle très bruyante, et comme si ça suffisait pas la serveuse claque les assiettes entre elles au moment de débarrasser ! Le service était un peu long. Niveau prix, ça reste correct. Malgré des plats délicieux, nous ne reviendrons pas.
