I’ve visited a few times, but this time I tried the Ceviche Barbas Negras (Blackbeard Ceviche). It was incredibly refreshing and interesting, especially since it included raw tuna, which I had never encountered in ceviche before. I definitely want to return to sample some of their other dishes.
The seafood here is quite good, although the prices are on the higher side. I started with the queso fundido for an appetizer; it was enjoyable, but not as melty as I had expected. The queso had a nice flavor, especially with the chorizo. For my main course, I ordered oysters and shrimp served with fries, and I decided to add a piece of fish for just $1.20, which was a great deal. The fish was flaky and cooked to perfection. The shrimp were flavorful, and the oysters could have used a couple more minutes to reach ideal doneness, but they still tasted good. My girlfriend ordered shrimp enchiladas with a kind of Diablo sauce, which were really impressive; the heat gradually built up nicely. Overall, I would definitely come back. Just my two cents!
The original location is the best. Every seafood taco is definitely worth trying!
I ordered the paella, and it was quite dry and lacked flavor. The rice tasted like it came from a box of Goya. I also ordered a margarita, but there was no liquor in it, despite their claims to the contrary. My husband had the el molgajete, which burned his lip and left a purple mark because it was extremely hot! It also tasted just like fish soup, with empty clams and only a few shrimp. Overall, this restaurant really lacks flavor. I would not recommend it.
Great food and fast friendly service by our young waitress. The prices were reasonable unlike other Mexican seafood places and a variety of options to choose from.Food: 5/5
