In his book Food Rules, author Michael Pollan advises against buying food where you buy gas. However, he may not have experienced the delights of the Laredo Taco Company. Despite being located inside Stripes convenience stores, this establishment offers some of the tastiest, fastest, and most affordable Mexican food in the area. Despite the long line to order, tacos and Mexican dishes are prepared quickly to order. The popularity of their breakfast tacos is evident from the lengthy queue. There is no seating available as this is a strictly takeaway establishment. Located on TX 100 near Los Fresnos, this Laredo Taco Company is a convenient stop off point on the way to South Padre Island after exiting I-2 (US 83 US 77).
This restaurant, purportedly located on 77 Kingsville, is impossible to locate.
In his book food rules autor michael pollan says, do not buy her food where they buy her gas obviously is pollan unfamiliar with the laredo taco company. forget a moment that ltcs are located within stripes convenience shops: this is some of the best tasting, fastest and cheapest Mexican foods that they can share in them. and the long line waiting for order is never noticed: tacos and Mexican plates are assembled to order in about a minute and the line moves fast. this long line is a certificate for the popularity of breakfast tacos, especially. there are no seats; this is to be done strictly. the official address is in san benito, but this laredo taco company is on tx 100 on the way to los fresnos, the first stop after the exit from I-2 (us 83 us 77), the perfect way point on their way to south padre island.
