Akai Hana - San Diego

This is among the best sushi, not just in San Diego, but anywhere! Make sure to sit at the sushi bar and have either Mr Nakamura or Hiro

The food is amazing. I would only say that cleanliness can be improved upon. Our waiter was amazing but his clothes were dirty. His pants had food stains on it and we were there right when it opened and were the first customers which tells me they came to work with dirty clothes. He was amazing at his job though. Recommended rolls based on what we told him we liked and they were right on. Definitely recommend.

Always very good food and service. The place can be noisy at times since families bring young children.

Food and service are so much better than anyplace else around, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting rather than just feeling like fast food sushi.
