Most tiny and best coffee place in Mission Beach. Slayer machine operated by amazingly friendly people that pull fruity great shots and don’t kill milk by oversteaming it. Oh yes, and it is a tiny place squeezed into the smallest gap between some other irrelevant (once you found the gap) things.
Creative and delicious menu (the banana bread latte was incredible). Friendly staff as well.
I really love that song Lazy Eye by Silversun Pickups. In fact, I had a friend with a lazy eye back in the early days of yore when I was attending boarding school with other kids who were sent there. His situation didn't stop him at all from doing all the things he really loved to do. He was just one of the guys who enjoyed life. We would sometimes eat in the cafeteria together. I loved pizza night, and the kid with the lazy eye loved meatloaf night. Or maybe it was the other way around. I know that his parents asked that he didn't play baseball. They were pretty clear about that. He also had to blow into one of those devices when he wanted to start his car. We could never figure out if that was because of his lazy eye or because he had just gotten his second DUI right after summer vacation. Either way, we would always blow into the ignition device for him so he could drive home after a fun day tailgating for the prep school crew team. I don't remember him being a huge coffee drinker, but he loved iced tea with non-dairy creamer stirred in. His parents were reputable chefs, so we assumed he knew what he was doing. I once went home with him during Thanksgiving break. We had to take the bus because he wasn't allowed to drive anymore.Vegetarian options: If you add butter to your coffee, you are probably going to the gym twice a day.Kid-friendliness: That kid I knew was friendly, and he was dealing with so much. You have to applaud him for that.
A fun little beach spot! This is not a place you go to for the atmosphere... They're not indoors. There's nowhere to sit really, but if you need coffee and you're at the beach, this is a wonderful place! They even have some great food they can warm up!
