Shoddy service. Frequently ignores simple requests (e.g. no cilantro . Rapid pickup orders are never in the location desginated for pickup orders. Nothing rapid about it.
This Panera on Balboa in particular: came in Sunday 11/26/23 around 6pm and the poor kid at the register was having a hard time making change (they were out of 20s) and he was like let me get my manager. Comes back without the manager and turns out the manager told him he was too busy and couldn't help. What kind of manager is that?!?! This guy/girl needs to fired/reprimanded!!! What a jerk off and makes me NOT ever want to come back here again OR to another Panera for that matter. Panera in general: Prices have gone WAY UP and portions have gone WAY DOWN.
The place is well located next to Tesla Supercharger, quit, clean bathrooms, the sun doesn't hit on the seating area, with outside seating with excellent shade. My order transporden didn't work so I was just seating there wating until my toasted bagelgot cold, the employee didn't seem he cared!!
The food was good enough with plenty of options, but they fell short when it came to following through with their pickup instructions for mobile app orders. I was supposed to pick up my order from the rapid pick up area, but I guess they were sobusy that they didn't have time to get our order to the p/u holding area... So we sat there for quite a while after our orderwas supposed to be ready while it was sitting on top of the kitchen's finished order counter, waiting for some employee to takeit to the proper pickup area. I finally got curious and went over to the kitchen counter and saw that my order had been sittingthere the whole time.
