Chris our server returns after being there for years along with his mom who's been there for 20 so still the family vibe with the old steak house feel. . Its beautiful inside. I had the ribeye and you could use a butter knife to cut it. We arrived at 4 on a Friday and within the hour there was a waiting list to be seated. Unfortunately no reservations yet or take out. They're still getting their feet wet but Chris says they hope to provide both soon.
They're backkkk!! And the food was as great as before .and the service was even better!!! Amazing, get rid of the beehives and fishnets, and they've got at least one super good server there. Put olives on your fingers and try to convince them to start taking reservations again. Best steaks in town.... Take THAT Ruth's Chris.. you never once gave me a black olive!
For my meal, I ordered the steak and lobster, accompanied by a baked potato, a side salad, and garlic bread. The dinner salad featured a good selection of house-made dressing, but I was disappointed with what I assumed were also house-made croutons. They had a nice flavor, but many of them were soft and lacked crunch. As for the steak, I requested a Porterhouse cooked rare, but it arrived closer to medium. While it had a pleasant char, it seemed under-seasoned, lacking the salt and pepper I typically enjoy, prompting me to ask for A1 sauce. I always taste the steak first to gauge its quality before considering sauce, as a good steak should speak for itself. The lobster was enjoyable, and while the baked potato was soft, I prefer one with a bit of a crispier skin. I finished my meal with a well-prepared chocolate mousse pie, followed by a Chocolate Martini. It was slightly smaller than I’m used to but stronger than expected. Overall, I enjoyed the experience; it felt like a more upscale version of Sizzler, with a pleasant atmosphere.
The restaurant has moved to a new location, but it still retains the charm of the previous site. Despite it being a busy Tuesday night, we were seated in just a few minutes. The drinks menu featured some stiff but well-balanced options. Although the beer selection is limited, it offers something for everyone, including O'Doul’s. The staff was friendly and attentive, even though they seemed a bit stretched; they always wore a smile and did their best to accommodate us. My steak was cooked perfectly, juicy with a great char, thick yet tender. My wife's burger had a delicious buttery bun and a well-seasoned patty. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, and lively music began playing at exactly 7:30. I highly recommend this place to those who loved the old location.
Everything was great! The steak was cooked to perfection, just the way I requested it—medium rare. The cocktails had a nice kick to them. The service was exceptional, and the prices were quite reasonable. The dim lighting created a classic, old-school steakhouse atmosphere. I really enjoyed sitting in the booth with my date; it was the perfect spot where we both had a lovely view of the restaurant, adding a touch of romance to the evening.
