Red House Pizza - San Diego

Delicious, interesting vegan options for appetizers, main courses and pizza. The pizza crust was light and crispy. Toppings were fresh and delicious. Definitely meets the place for a pizza carrier. Inside atmosphere was missing, but there were many outdoor/terrace seats that were comfortable and pleasant.

This place is vegan pizza heaven. We've eaten several times in Red House since we first discovered it. There is a whole vegan menu with pizza, pasta, salads and sides. They even offer gluten-free crust that is almost impossible to find. Everything tastes fantastic. If I could, I would give it 5 stars. Updated by previous review on 2022-08-24

I have to say I'm broken between three and four stars. I will definitely give this place another attempt, but for now, pure on the basis of the essential vegan menu and the fact that it was overall good, I decided to give Red House Pizza four stars. We ordered a Saturday night through Uber, and it took almost 2 hours! I understand the restaurant was busy, but I was shocked how long it took. I think I'm still coming from my Hangry mood, so I'm more critical. My friend ordered the vegan chicken pasta, and although it was delicious when I tried, he said after eating all the thing, it was really heavy and oily. I noticed a fairly large oil pool in the court at the end of his meal. But I still had significant bonus points for gluten-free pasta, and I really appreciated the gluten-free options. My pizza was delicious. I have to say I think it would have been better hot, but this is definitely my own fault as I ordered the takeover and it was delivered as soon as possible. I can't say I was blown away from the pizza, but it was one of the better I had; it was really good. However, the cheeky garlic bread for me was the star of the show. It was absolutely delicious and super cheesy without taste. I'll think about this cheeky garlic bread for a while and go back to get it back. Next time I'll try a pizza when I'm personal, or when it's delivered, I'll choose a salad and a cheerful garlic bread. I absolutely love the huge all-band menu, as already mentioned, so I look forward to trying other dishes. I definitely recommend trying!

The pizzas are filled with blows and the pesto is delicious; very tasteful. I also really loved the pizza crust, it is not too thin or thick, but full of goodness.

The separate vegan menu is super helpful and they gave tons of options! There are also GF options for crust and all the pasta is gf. The pizza is great, and the pasta is out of this world!! The wait time has been pretty long both times we have visited (like 45 min), but it's worth the wait.
