Hotel & Bungalows Mayaland - Buffet Restaurant

I can't speak for a buffet, but I stayed in the hotel two nights. during my stay I ate twice for dinner in the hotel and once for lunch. the grotten are beautiful. it's like eating on a natural conservat. then they have a choice of swimming pools. if their solo travel partner I found that they will even have a guest of the hotel visit at dinner; the local paw. the prices were reasonable and the eating was excellent again. their bar can do anything to them. during lunch they will even buy the pool.

This airy restaurant in the mayaland hotel offers selection of six separate stations. the outstanding offers are the handmade maistortillas that were created at the Maya station. the Mexican and Maya stations have by far the most interesting dishes, including the mouthwater pillion (slow-roasted pork). the international station consisted of gray cheeseburgers and hot dogs best avoided. the pizza station was just ordinary pizza. we didn't disturb each other. the salatable was fresh and the highlights of the dessert station were the addictively good kosnusspudding and fresh fruit. with friendly and attentive service it is a pleasant stop after a visit in chichen itza.

In view of the number of visitors, and especially during the day, we understand the need for buffet service. There were plenty of choices both for Mexican aficionados and for the American hamburger groups. Luckily, we were a small enough group so we could visit...places with freshly made Mexican foods. If you are going to Chicken Itza, it is wonderful to stay at the Mayaland hotel.

We tried this place because you could walk to it from the back entrance of the ruins. You pay for that ease of access, because the food, although fine, was not otherwise worth the price by itself. Best was the pibil. The pizza and desserts...were not great.

After a long and hot day at the scenic Chichén Itzá, this place was the best place to relax. The views were amazing and the atmosphere of the restaurant was so peaceful. The staff were all so lovely, continuously checking up on us without being...bothersome. The food was absolutely delicious with many choices!
