Their guac recipe hasn't changed, nor has the love with which they make their food, and despite my having lived away from the city for about 10 years now, they're still my first and last stop wheneveri come to visit. The burritos spoil me, their meat is prepared perfectly, and their guac is still the best I know. Probably picking a Grande Chili Verde today. <3
A very solid choice for lunch, no regrets. I had a grande carnitas burrito. it was pretty good my only regret would be that I got mild salsa since it was basically just tomatoes and onions I’d definitely get the medium or hot next time. It’s a super small place but has the cutest mom and pop feel ever!
I ordered only vegetarian dishes: the food was great. Especially the burrito is very tasty. The ladies who run the shop were friendly and gave la canasta authenticity.

La Canasta is a staple in San Francisco. The food is consistently delicious and a pleasure to enjoy.
