This pizza is incredibly delicious! I highly recommend it.
Solid slice, better than any other pizza joint for 4 blocks around at least.
This is the best place for by-the-slice pizza in the neighborhood. The prices are very reasonable as well.
As a native New Yorker, I have to say that this pizza is nothing like authentic Sicilian pizza. It reminded me more of Ellio's or low-quality cafeteria pizza from my childhood, just with better sauce. I ordered a cheese pizza and asked for light cheese in the notes, but it ended up having way too much cheese – almost drowning in it and as thick as the crust. The dough was undercooked, doughy, and floppy, lacking the crisp bottom I was expecting based on other reviews. The dough was heavy, dense, and bland, with a plasticky texture that reminded me of frozen Ellio's pizza. The sauce was decent, but there wasn't much of it. The hot peppers included were a nice touch, but the unnecessary inclusion of plates seemed wasteful. In terms of Sicilian pizza standards, this pizza fell short in terms of crust thickness, crispiness, and shape. It's edible, but not good. I wouldn't eat here again, especially if you're looking for authentic Sicilian pizza. If you want something closer to the real deal, try Cellarmaker's Detroit-style pizza.
