Pizzeria Ponte D'oro

Best pizza I ate in a long time. I wanted to go for a spaghetti carbonara when we got out for dinner. When I saw carbonara on the menu I did not expect to get a pizza carbonara instead of one with spaghetti. Best surprise ever, because it was so good. I can surely recommend this restaurant, it was delicious.

We ate at this establishment while on a European motoring holiday. We were told by the locals that this was THE place to eat true authentic pizza how right they were. Service was brilliant throughout. No artificial/ frozen/ ready made/ pre prepared produce at this place. Everything is fresh. Our pizzas were cooked to perfection the size of them being in a word HUGE. The taste ? Everything on the base was cooked to perfection, each ingredient came through, enabling you to enjoy the wonderful flavours. The dough base was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend this place definately one for the world gastro map.

We went here for a midweek dinner and have had one of the most memorable experiences of true local Italian hospitality. Not overly fancy in looks but don't be put off, the friendly and polite staff although english is not excellent enjoyed trying to have conversation with us and vice versa. The service impeccable. The food.....delicious pizzas, generous portions and excellent value for money. Vino liquores highly recommended! Well done team and best wishes for the future. Michael Cooke family
