The spinach salad, excellent with just the right amount of dressing. The mahi mahi served in veggies again and finished with what appeared to be a soy based and wild berry sauce. All very tasty!!Service was excellent with a young lady from Argentina and the live music great dinner entertainment.Mexotik has established itself as a must visit in SP!!
Great and creative food! Trust the chef even if ingredients sound weird! Too bad the soft jazz made me want to cut my wrists, so boring and downer, but would still go back to eat there many times!
We who would have thought you could find this kind of sophisticated food in San Pancho. Drinks and food were beautifully presented and tasty. Nice upstairs open air atmosphere. A little bit away from most of the other restaurants on the main street of San Pancho.
It took the server about 15-20 minutes to come to our table, he was apologetic and nice so we ordered some cocktails, they took another 15 minutes to come out. I should mention that there was a couple that had already ordered, and a table of 6 or 7 that had already been served their meal, no on else there. Service is slower in Mexico than what we're used to, but this went far beyond...We ordered 2 appetizers, a tuna tartare and a mixed mushroom soup with huitlacoche. The tuna was alright, over dressed/marinated, but edible. The soup...was the worst soup I've ever had, the broth tasted like watered down mushroom water, it was the most undeveloped soup base...ever. It was as if no salt was used in the soup, it was so bland and miserable that we decided not to order entrees. The drinks were decent but expensive and full of fruit pulp. Very disappointing, not recommended.
We sat down for dinner at 6:30 pm, relatively early for San Pancho, the only other diners being Canadian as well. We ordered a couple of beverages, a margarita and a 'mojada' (tequila, red basil and lime)...omg was that a wonderful cocktail! The fun had just begun! The appetizers and entrees were also sublime and the service understandably impeccable (then again, how couldn't it be with only 2 tables in play). The plating of your meals is first rate, the tastes even better. Mexotik is in a class by itself in San Pancho...you must take this place in during your vacation to this friendly hamlet just north of Sayulita
