Perk Up - San Marcos

I have an excellent latte and a very nice roasted almond butter and strawberry sandwich. I'm a 275 pound guy, so everything seems to be small to me... I'm not gonna keep it against these people. A small latte (10-12 oz I think) and the sandwich was about $11. A little expensive, but you don't really go to coffee shops expect more cheap prices. People in all seemed positive and energetic. This is surprisingly important when you stop picking up.

Nice little place, good coffee, very fresh and healthy food. They offer breakfast and lunch as well as smoothies and of course a variety of coffee and tea drinks.

Coffee is excellent. The personnel is very friendly. A relax enviroment. You will like to spend more time in the place (reading, playing chess, etc) after you are done with your coffee.

This 5-star rating is well deserved by the owners. The establishment is a fairly new addition to San Marcos. My wife ordered a vanilla latte and said it was excellent. I ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice. Now wait a minute, you'll want to finish reading this... My orange juice was delivered and it was about 90% ice and 10% juice which amounted to about three sips before it was empty. Instead of leaving them a negative review knowing they were a new establishment, I private messaged their business page on Facebook. I sent them a photo of my cup of ice. I wanted to let them know about my disappointment in the hopes that they would provide a more reasonable portion for future customers. Here is where it gets interesting. While I was still there, the owners responded to me professionally and courteously via Facebook. They offered to remake the juice and informed me that the juice had not been made to their standards and that they were still training staff. They then proceeded to tell me what their standard is, and followed it up by calling into the location and having the staff remake the orange juice while I was still on the premises. The result? A satisfied customer who enjoyed a proper and delightfully fresh squeezed orange juice. And one who will definitely return. Thank you Perk Up for your responsiveness and customer service.
