Garufa - San Miguel de Allende

I'm overwriting this review. my experience was fabulous, but the other reviews were totally opposed. I can't find out. I checked several restaurants because I wanted only suppe, a really good suppe, preferably azteca sopa, but no luck. garufa had clam chowder on. the menu so I went in; it is a beautiful place, spacious, well decorated and all 4 server were very attentive. my margarita took a long time to come, but I wasn't in a hurry at 2:30 on the afternoon. the mussel khowder was excellent, served in a roasted bread bowl, whose inside I was able to scratch in my chowder. really good. can't go too far with a margarita and this was pretty good. the tiramisu was undoubtedly the best I had...everyone! I will go back despite the many negative reviews, but I am a little holding back to recommend it too high for friends, if my positive experience was taking out instead of the rule.

We were so excited about an Argentine restaurant and after our order we found out that they had no filets so that we ordered other meat (porterhouse and flanks) that was not edible and we had to send back. management was not helpful and even. the steaks tried and told us that we were right that they were not edible. .weg too salty and not properly cooked. the half of the order did not come and everything, but the salate and wee had to be sent back. really terrible experience and ruined our night. manager wasn't helpful at all. a small point, but the steaks came before the salates.

Food was o.k. We had quite a variety of dishes. BUT, our drink orders were slow in coming even though there were very few of us in the rooftop dining and, more importantly, 1/2 of us received our dishes and the other 1/2 did not...receive theirs until most of us were done. We were seated under the two big speakers on the roof and the staff refused to turn them off or even down. One of the people in the group owns three restaurants in the states and is bilingual. She specifically asked our waitress to separate the tickets so we could be billed separately but the waitress did not do so and refused to do so when we were ready to go. Our restauraneur did this for us. I would not return to this restaurant under any circumstances.

My friends, on this place I had one of the most terrible dinners since the pandemic began, all we ordered was so bad that we did not even put the kakaosalat and the pizza (even threatened teig after we asked to put back in the many and said it would be done). please do not go to this place, we felt robbed when we asked for the check and had to pay so much for such terrible food.

My baked potatoes had a worm in it, GROSS. The rest of the food wasn’t so good and the attention was slow. They didn’t even give me a discount for it. Very uncomfortable and disappointing, honestly. Never going back.
