La Hacienda Jalisco - San Saba

I have eaten here several times in the past few weeks. Everything I have had was very good. The guacamole and queso rules. Service was a little slow. I have only eaten there at lunch so I can't tell you anything about the margaritas . The servers were always nice and accommodating until today. We have always asked for our iced tea to be half and half being as the sweet tea is too sweet. The man said they didn't have that. So on our refill we had a lady come over and asked her and she did it without a problem. So the server did not get a tip from us. And a 3 star review instead of a 4 or a 5.

My boyfriend ordered the menudo and it was very bland. We told the waiter and he was very understanding and took it off the ticket. My boyfriend then asked the waiter when the menudo was even made. The waiter did not even know when it was actually made and said it is only ever fresh over the weekend. Not coming back!

Good Mexican food continues at this new restaurant in town. Have been to the one in Goldthwaite and now am enjoying a great margarita in San Saba. Chips and salsa are good, and the cheese enchiladas are great. The menu is too large to try everything, but I'll give it a shot in the future.

I waited in line in the drive through for THIRTY MINUTES. When my tacos came out they were cold. Absolutely not. I will not come back.

Food was excellent and they have a large varied menu. Margaritas were great and hit the spot. Server was very nice and attentive. Was not expecting to find a place like this in a small town. I have eaten at most of the small town Mexican restaurants in this part of Texas and this is one of the best I've had. Will definitely be back.
